Big Day

Madeline and I had a big day today! She woke up around 9 and we played until noon. Then we headed to Barnes and Noble and she slept while I was in there for about 2 1/2 hours. I got a chai latte at Starbucks and started reading Super Baby Foods. Yes, I plan on making her baby food so I am starting to research it. Some people may think this is crazy, but I really want to do it. I still have about 4 months until we start her on any solids, but I wanted to go ahead and start learning about it. Then we headed to shop for her a few new outfits. We met Dad at the house and headed to Greenhouse Grill for dinner and then we decided to walk Madeline and the dogs to Gulley Park. The concert series has started and we saw some friends so we stayed for about an hour. The band tonight, Madeline's first band to hear, was Big'uns (cover band). She was wide awake when we got to the park, but I guess the band put her to sleep. She woke up and now her and Dad are relaxing on the couch. Pucci and Lulu loved it too! We are looking forward to the next one and will be more prepared next time.

One of Madeline's future BFFs was born today!!! Mary Raley was born and is doing very well. She was a little early but already weighed 8 pounds 3 ounces. We cannot wait to see Andrea and Mary Raley. I know Mary Raley, Lila, Molly and Madeline will be best friends one day like their mommies!!!

Beautiful Morning......

Working two days a week has gone great the last two weeks. I have to get up extra early, but seeing this in the morning makes it so much better. I have been getting up at 5 a.m. in case little bit decides she wants to get up and eat or play a little in the morning. This girl is not a morning girl and sleeps in( until 9 or 10) on the days I am off.

2 Months Old

Our sweet baby girl turned 2 months old today!!!

Madeline,
At this time, 2 months ago we were waiting for you to join us in this world. The last 2 months have been magical. Our lives have changed so much and we cannot imagine our lives without you. We had no idea what we were doing at first, but we quickly learned and had a lot of help from family. You are such a good baby and made the learning process very easy, which we appreciate. You change everyday and we love waking up wondering what you are going to do that day. You already have such a strong personality! You love to be on the go! If we are holding you, you want to be carried around so you can see whats around you and if you are in a car or stroller, you do not like us to stop! The faster we go, the happier you are. Hopefully, you will grow out of the need for speed before you turn 16!! You love bath time, being outside, the wind blowing in your face and time on your back to kick and punch your arms.  You have started grabbing things, like my hair and  you will not let go! You always put a smile on our faces and make us laugh. We are so blessed that you are our daughter!!
Love,
Mom and Dad

Mom, stop taking my picture!! I am so over it.

My Cheerleaders

I was cleared to start working out last Wednesday and started doing my Tracy Anderson videos yesterday. Man, it is hard!!! I am so out of shape and have no strength in my abs!!! While doing my videos this morning, Madeline and Lulu were on the floor with me and cheering me on. There is no way I could have made it through the workout without them!

Nap Time and Bath Time

Madeline slept/napped in her crib for the first time on Sunday!!!!

Well, kind of..... I put her car seat in the crib once we got back from running errands. Maybe one day she will stay asleep once I put her in the crib (while not being in a car seat!).

She may not love sleeping in her crib, but she loves taking a bath! Sunday, we moved her whale of a tale tub from the sink to the bath tub.

Farmer's Market and meeting Holly and Nate

Saturday morning we woke up and went to the Farmer's Market on the Fayetteville Square. On the way back to our car, we stopped by Bliss Cupcake Cafe.

Chocolate Milkshake Cupcake

Our good friends, Holly and Nate Zulpo, were in town so they stopped by to meet Madeline. It was great catching up and we hope to see you soon!
Good luck on your half marathon in two weeks.

Catfish Hole

Ben's dad took us to eat at Catfish Hole on Friday night. It was delicious. I know Madeline will love it one day. Uncle Judd joined us too.

Thank you so much for dinner! We ate way too much! I know Madeline enjoyed herself too!

What we have been up to....

I cannot believe I have not posted since last Monday. I started working two days a week last week and it completely threw me off! I was dreading leaving my little girl, but her and her Dad had some good bonding time! She was a perfect angel for him. Ben also brought her by the office a couple of time both days, which really helped too.

What Madeline did last week:

Hung out with dad.

Took lots of walks. Madeline was asleep in the kangaroo pouch while I walked the dogs. It was very sunny so she wore one of her hats.

Tummy Time. She fell asleep two days during tummy time.

Relaxed with Mom and Dad.

Tummy Time Monday

I only took pictures at tummy time today. She had one of those days and wanted to be held a lot and I strolled her around the park for about an hour. She spent a couple of hours in the kangaroo pouch. While she was  in the pouch, we folded laundery and walked the dogs around the neighborhood. It was wonderful having her close and having my hands free.

Ben grilled burgers tonight. Madeline, the girls (Pucci Ella and Lulu) and I sat outside with him while he grilled. He stopped and got hamburger buns from Richard's and they are the best! I usually do not care about bread, but I can eat several plain hamburger buns from Richard's (they are that good).

Ben is rocking her right now and they look so sweet!!!!

Lazy Sunday

Madeline and I had a pretty lazy Sunday. I worked around the house and Madeline had tummy time, swing time, nap time, meal time, kick legs and arms time, cuddle time and we went on a couple of walks, which is Madeline's typical day. Ben played golf and once he got home we went out to eat and made a trip to target.

Dad took some pictures before we left for dinner. We took a long evening walk and Lulu was exhausted. She collapsed right when she walked in the door.

Earlier tonight Madeline was fighting going to sleep and threw a tiny fit. I was rocking her while she was crying and the sound Momma came out. Ben noticed it immediately and quickly stated that it does not count as her first word. I guess he is hoping her first word is Daddy. I know it was just a part of her cry, but it gets me excited about actually hearing her say momma one day. I never knew how excited I would be to hear the word Momma!

I was sitting in the backseat of the car today and she gave me the look above when I put on my sunglasses. This was her first time to see me in sunglasses and she did not know what to think.
Oh baby, I'm so tired!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

After the pouring rained stopped and we went to the Razorback baseball game yesterday. It was Madeline's first Razorback event to attend!! My dad came to visit for the day and Ben's parents went to the game with us too. Before the game, we went to eat across the street from the baseball stadium and my brother joined us. Everyone could care less about the game or lunch, they were all there to visit Madeline! During the game my dad made a statement that summed up how we all felt, he said he was in Hog Heaven- getting to hold his grandaughter while watching the Razorback game.

Madeline also had some visitors during the game. Mrs. Stockland and Brandon Rinnert walked down to see Madeline.

Mrs. Srygley- Thank you for the tickets! We missed you, Michelle and Brandon!
