Pics from October

 Baby, its cold outside

 Finger painting Halloween Cards

We had lots of fun outside this month. The leaves in our backyard were BEAUTIFUL and Madeline loved playing in them. The weather was perfect most days, but we woke up to really cold weather a few mornings. We pulled together a cold weather play outfit, but it let me know that I needed to get a few outside play clothes for the cold weather that is right around the corner.

Hayride

Ben was out of town last weekend, so Madeline and I had a girls night and headed up to the Club for their cookout and Hayride. We loved it!

Farmland Adventures!

Last Friday, Madeline's school took a field trip to Farmland Adventures.
We loved it! Ben and I may have loved it more than Madeline.
Sandboxes are so out, corn boxes are so in!!!!
Madeline loved it!

Madeline and her best friend Abby.
This morning, I heard Ben ask Madeline who her best friend was and she said Abby. Ben said, no it's Daddy.
He came in our room and asked if I heard their discussion and he said I really want her to answer Daddy after I ask her who her best friend is.

She points and says Abby's name to her all day at school. (See Picture below)

The animal area was a little wild and the animals were pretty aggressive.
As Madeline and Ben were looking away, a goat moved the gate closer to them and when they looked back , the goat was nose to nose with Madeline and made a scary noise.  It scared her to death. Ben said it scared him a little too. Ben was behind Madeline so she could not get away. Poor girl may be scared for life.

She usually loves to ride ponies, but she would not get on the pony after the goat scare.
I may need to re-think her pony riding birthday party!
Her teachers!

Wagon Ride in the cow pasture....

She was raising her arms up like she was on a roller coaster.

Ben and I forgot how delicious s'mores are and Madeline was introduced to them and automatically loved them. I kept thinking about the high fructose corn syrup in the marshmallows, but got over it after taking one bite. I figured some every now and then would not hurt us. I have read that it is easy to make marshmallows so I may try making some to use for hot cocoa this winter.

After Farmland Adventures, we dropped Madeline off at her Grandparents and we headed to dinner. Which was wonderful and we decided that we need to host a fall party for the kiddos each year. Once Madeline and her baby brother on the way get a little old we will definitely host one. This may be my way of making up to them having their birthday only days apart. They will get a spring party and a fall party. Maybe their GrandDad and GranMommy will let us us their land for bonfires and hayrides!

Jay and Betsy were keeping Fox and Bella that night. Fox and Madeline were wild when picked her up. She loved playing with Fox. She enjoys rough housing with the boys. Bella is very ladylike and prissy and was looking at them like that is way too rough for me. Madeline may be a little tom boy!
They also fed the kiddos spaghetti, which they loved, but I think they are still cleaning red sauce off the floor.

October Catch Up

The first weekend of October, we headed to Hot Springs for the weekend. Mom and Rick met us over there. Ben and Rick headed out for Dallas (Ark Vs. A&M game) and we had a girls weekend in Hot Springs.

It was my brother's 26th Birthday weekend! Happy Birthday, Neal!

Trip to Chick-fil-A
We walked around Downtown Hot Springs after eating at Rolando's (delicious!)
This water was from a spring and it was HOT!

And we picked up Madeline's Learning Tower while we were in Hot Springs.
That evening, she helped me give Pucci a bath

She loves the learning tower and has been my little helper in the kitchen this month.
Cooking takes longer and the messes are bigger, but I LOVE having her in the kitchen with me.

Madeline also had a sink bath while we were there....

Sunday Morning, Big Momma and Madeline enjoyed reading in bed.....

During a trip to Wal-Mart, I thought Madeline may need a stroller for her baby. Boy was I right, she loves it!

The next weekend....
Mom and Rick came up for the Auburn game and made a pit stop on campus before they made it to our house. They surprised Madeline with a new cheerleading outfit and pom poms!

Sadly, Mom and Rick had to leave town early. We got an awful phone call Friday evening saying my brother had been in a car accident. It is a phone call I have always dreaded and hope I never receive again for any family member or friend! It makes me wish I could keep Madeline in a carseat the rest of her life!!!! Neal is very blessed (our family) and everyone is okay. It was a very scary Friday night and scary weekend and week afterwards, but Neal was cleared by his doctor last Monday!!! Praise the Lord!

The night of the call, I could not sleep because I was worried about Neal and all I wanted  to do was  get Madeline out for her crib and cuddle with her. I am sure my mom had that same feeling about Neal while she was driving to Little Rock to check on her baby boy! I don't think it matters if your child is 26 years old or 18 months, a mom always has that same feeling. We want to be there to comfort our children and make everything better.

We missed mom and Rick on Saturday, but I knew I was going to have to stay busy or I would call my mom constantly Saturday for Neal updates and that is the last thing she needed! So we picked up Ben's parents and headed to VanZandt's

Madeline LOVED the wagon and was very serious about the pumpkins and wagon ride.
She is very energetic and lots of fun, but  sometimes she gets in a very serious mode and she did while we were there.

She was a NOT HAPPY pumpkin picker when we took her out of the wagon for a few family photos.
The wagon is definitely going on her Christmas List!

Happy again.......

There was an area decorated with stuffed animals dressed up for Halloween, Madeline had to give them all kisses.

After VanZandt's we headed home for Madeline's nap.
Ben headed out for the game. That evening, Madeline's GranMommy treated us girl's to dinner at Taste of Thai and we watched the game at our house since all the boys went to the game. Great Game! Madeline loved yelling Woooo Pig and shaking her pom poms.
