Working Hard for their Money

As soon as we get to Mam-maws the kiddos head straight to the shop behind my Grandmother's house. They love to help Uncle Larry get some work done-  Shred paper, answer the phone, write orders, etc....
They love wagon (train) rides through the shop.
One day I was at Mam-maws house when Madeline called from the shop, I answered-  Pizza Hut, she froze and hung up on me. .

Tickets, Tickets please...

 Madeline is multi-tasking.
Writing up orders while on the wagon ride.

Back to mam-maws for a break

Back to the shop, working hard to earn some last minute Christmas money!

Getting ready for Christmas Part 2

Getting ready for Christmas at Big Momma's.
Coloring stockings....

 Botanical Gardens in Hot Springs....

Graham would not get close to the depot, he was terrified of Santa...

Towards the end, we saw everyone on the Golf cart, we kept Graham in the stroller and he was soooo sad, he was reaching for them screaming Big Momma, Big Momma as they drove off. SOOOOO sad!

Please excuse my outfit! I did not bring warm enough clothes on our trip, It was FREEZING!!!. I was desperate. I put a warm vest over a workout hoodie. At least I was warm!

We froze at the botanical gardens, it was late, everyone was tired, over stimulated and at the very end, Madeline started throwing her biggest fit to date, she hit Ben and screamed/cried all the way to the car and cried most of the way home. Ben was so embarrassed carrying her to the car. This has been our most embarrassing moment and I hope it is the biggest fit she ever throws. I had to document it because I think the feeling we felt will come back 20 years from now when we read this, and hopefully we will laugingh about it! Just part of parenthood!
P.S. We decided to revisit how we discipline our children after the Holidays! Some of our methods were not very effective!

 Making sugar cookies for Santa

Not the prettiest cookies, but Santa thought they tasted GREAT!
