Watching TV( Cat in the Hat) while waiting at the doctors office
We went to Madeline's 9 Month Doctors Appointment last Thursday.
Height: 27.76 inches (50th percentile)
Weight: 18.87 pounds (45 percentile)
Head Circumference: 17.72 inches (75th percentile)
Madeline has weighed the same amount the past couple of doctor appointments. Dr. Payton said her weight curve is normal for a BF baby. They are heavier in the beginning and formula fed babies are heavier after the 6 month mark. He said he would rather her be in the 45th percentile than 85th.
The nurse had to prick her toe in order to draw blood to check her iron levels. The prick did not bother her at all! Dad distracted her for a minute so she was not looking when the nurse pricked it.
Her iron levels are a little low, which I expected because my iron is a little low. The doctor said that her levels are not low enough to do anything about it.
As you can see in the pictures above, she is a busy bee. She would not sit still for me to get her nine month picture. Since she turned 9 months on Christmas Eve we took them once we got home.
She is a great eater, but is starting to want her solids, solid instead of pureed. Loves her organic puffs
Loves the dogs and wants to play with their toys instead of hers. She was laughing so hard the other day and was sitting by the dog bed waving a toy at lulu and she thought it was hilarious.
Had her first piece of dog food. (Bad mommy!)
Had her first really high temperature. Doctor said it was just a virus going around.
Always pulls her socks or shoes off.
Loves to snuggle.
Got really attached to her Daddy and cries/lets out little fuss when he walks away.(Dad loves it!)
Started saying Dada.
Did not like having her picture taken with Santa. We have an adorable picture with her screaming. She was perfectly happy as soon as Daddy picked her up.
Still crawls on her tummy and pushes with her big toe. I guess she is never going to crawl on all fours. She gets up on all fours and then drops down on tummy to move. She is fast.
Still sleeps in our bed. She is usually asleep between 6:45-7 p.m. and sleeps until 7 a.m., but she wakes up around 11, 2 and 5 throughout the night for a few minutes. Naps twice a day, around 9 and 2.
Loves to be around kids and other adults.
So much fun and is a bundle of joy!
We love you sweet girl!
