Hot Springs

Friday morning we woke up, got dressed and headed out bright and early. First, we headed downtown to eat at the Pancake house and then decided to drive up to the Hot Springs Mountain Tower. While we were there, a huge group of bikers where there  and my mom offered to take their group picture. Madeline was asleep in the car so we took turns watching her. Ben was taking pictures so mom's new biker friends offered to take our picture. We asked where they were from and they said the Dallas area and Ben mentioned the Texas A&M vs. Arkansas game in Dallas. The group said they were Texas fans but would cheer for A&M when they play Arkansas. That comment got Ben going a little bit.
Next, we went shopping and went to a meat market and bakery to get stuff to cookout for dinner. While we were out and about, my mom decided she wanted to fish so we picked up some fishing poles before we went back to the cottage.
Big Momma was a fishing machine!
Saturday morning we went to the Farmer's Market to get some fresh vegetables for dinner. We planned on stopping at an ATM on the way  but we forgot so we had to work with what we had. With all of our cash combined, we had $10.00  to work with. I have to admit it was fun working with a $10 budget. I was very impressed by how much we got. We were able to feed 4 adults that night. I have to admit there were a few items I wanted (figs), but they were out of our price range for the day!

It's all about the Washingtons Baby.......

Then we headed home for tummy/play time and nap time......

Sunday, we relaxed and met Uncle Neal for lunch at Sam's Pizza.

Monday we woke up and there was a little cake waiting on me once I got ready for the day and my mom, Ben and Madeline were singing happy birthday. Madeline was very vocal that morning, which her sweet little voice was the best gift ever! I know it sounds so clichĂ©, but having a healthy baby girl to celebrate this birthday with me was the best gift ever plus getting to spend it with the rest of my family was the cherry on top! Eating cake for breakfast was a pretty good gift too!
Monday evening we got to celebrate Uncle Judd and my birthday with the Penix side of the family. We had a wonderful dinner out and Betsy made a delicious cake.
Happy Birthday, Uncle Judd
Love,
Madeline

We had a wonderful weekend!
