Madeline loved talking to Mr. Weathers and grabbing his finger with her toes (refer to third picture)
Monday night, Ben's parents cooked a wonderful meal and invited their dear friends over for dinner to meet Madeline. The Weather's lived next door to the Penixes while the 3 rowdy Penix boys were growing up. The Weathers helped raise those boys. Mrs. Weather's was holding Madeline and said she remembered holding the Penix boys like that. She also brought three special books to give Madeline. A friend wrote the childrens' books.
I was also very impressed that my in-laws were able to host the little dinner party after getting in late Sunday night from a trip to Florida. They are both wonderful cooks, so I guess it was easy for them.
